The IEEE bestows many awards at the organization, technical society, region, section, and chapter level and there is an award for just about any aspect of the engineering profession: technical excellence, service, corporate awards, honorary memberships, and the IEEE Staff award.

CT Section award winners in 2018 are:

  • Frank Demarest for extensive industrial innovation in interferometry and metrology
  • Peng Zhang for strong leadership and outstanding contributions in research and teaching in the areas of microgrids, smart communities and cities, cyber-physical security and smart ocean systems
