IEEE CT Section Capstone Competition

This is the inaugural IEEE CT Section Capstone Competition for IEEE-related senior projects in Connecticut colleges and universities. The competition will take place at a different venue from initially advertised: Room 808CD Chapman Hall CT State Community College, Middlesex, CT 06457 Presentations will be talks + slides, not posters, so be prepared for that format. 11:00 Arrive/lunch/Social time 11:30 Brief Introduction 11:35 Mars Rover, University of New Haven 12:05 Augmented Reality Triggered Macros (ARTM), Sacred Heart University 12:35 Taurus - A Quadrupedal Robot Platform, University of Hartford 1:05 Design and implementation of a sign language robotic hand, Trinity College 1:35 Power Quality Monitoring for Critical Equipment, University of Connecticut 1:55 Judges Consult, Social time 2:15 Awards and Farewell Aim for each presentation to be for 15 minutes with 5 to 10 minutes for questions. While demonstrations are encouraged, be aware that each team only has a limited time to present so have a backup video or other way to show the work. Notes: - Lunch sandwiches will be provided. Please let us know if there are any dietary restrictions to be catered for. - Each student can claim a $50 "mileage" reimbursement for travel to the event. - Parking is best had at the bottom car park (green rectangle). The entrance for this parking is at the green circle. - The venue is Chapman Hall (magenta rectangle). - There is extra parking at the orange rectangle.
